Unknown City, FL
Union Missionary Baptist Church Port Richey
A Message from Pastor Sherwayne Phillip Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Over the past several months, we have been praying and fasting, seeking the Lord concerning the future of our church. I am convinced that God is calling us to deepen our commitment – not just to attend church, but to be the Church. Specifically, He is leading us to become a disciple-making church. My vision for a Disciple-Making Church is, “A Church where disciples are formed, leaders are developed, and the Gospel is multiplied in our city and beyond”. Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He gave the church a clear mission: “Go ye therefore and make disciples of all nations…”. (Matt 28:19-20). This was not a suggestion; it was a command. Our primary assignment is not simply to gather crowds, host events, or maintain traditions. Our calling is to make disciples – men, women, and children who follow Jesus, grow in His Word, walk in obedience, and help others to do the same. Let’s continue to pray for God to do a “New Thing” in our hearts. (Isaiah 43:19)

About This Congregation
Union Missionary Baptist Church exists to love God and to love people: This mission guides all that we pray for and do. We receive this commission from the great commandment found in Luke 10:27 to love God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind, and to love others as we love ourselves. We gather as a body of Christ to receive strength for this mission and then go out into our neighborhoods, community, and world to share the love of Christ. THE VISION The vision of Union Missionary Baptist Church is creating a community of authentic believers and to witness a city transformed by the life changing reality of the gospel, as people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
